OUR MISSION

India's digital economy and India's fraud infrastructure grew at the same pace,but its defences didn't. DSN's mission is to permanently close that gap by building the first neutral, cross-sector cyber safety network where regulators, platforms, law enforcement and citizens share intelligence, tools and standards in real time. So no single point in the ecosystem has to stand alone.

Where a fraud signal detected on a crypto exchange in Mumbai instantly protects a farmer transacting on UPI in Rajasthan. In 2025, Indians filed 28.15 lakh cybercrime complaints. Of those, fewer than 2% became FIRs. Nearly half of all Indian adults have experienced or know a victim of AI voice-cloning or deepfake scams.

Meanwhile, UPI processed 21.7 billion transactions in January 2026 alone. Every transaction represents trust. Every fraud erodes it.

Most Indians encounter cyber fraud before they ever encounter cyber education and by then the damage is done. DSN's Consumer Education pillar meets citizens where they already are: WhatsApp, Social media, Community networks and Vernacular content platforms.Our 24×7 AI-powered helpline lets any Indian — in any language — verify a suspicious UPI ID, phone number, wallet address or link in seconds, before they act on it. Our campaigns are built specifically for semi-urban and rural India, where digital adoption is fastest and cyber literacy infrastructure is thinnest.

Fraud Intelligence API

A Shared Immune System

Fraud is a network : coordinated, adaptive and indifferent to which platform you use. India's defence must be equally networked. The DSN Fraud Intelligence API is a free, open, neutral layer of shared threat intelligence — aggregating fraud signals from crypto exchanges, payment platforms, banks, telecoms, and law enforcement into a single real- time feed. Any platform can contribute. Any platform can query. No competitive moat is built, only collective immunity.

When a mule account is flagged on one app, every platform on the network knows within seconds. When a new phishing pattern emerges in one state, a fintech in a different city is protected before it spreads. This is what a national immune system for financial fraud actually looks like — not a campaign, but permanent shared infrastructure.

Law Enforcement Support

The Best FIR Is the One That Leads to a Conviction.

India's state cyber crime cells are doing their best with the tools of a previous decade. Most units lack blockchain forensics capability, real-time fraud tracing tools and the technical manpower to process the volume of complaints they receive. That's why fewer than 2% of the 28 lakh cybercrime complaints filed in 2025 became FIRs.

DSN's Law Enforcement Support pillar exists to close that capability gap — systematically and permanently. We deploy rapid-response technical support when investigators encounter novel fraud architectures that outpace their current playbooks.

Our north star: every FIR filed on a cybercrime should be backed by the tools, training and technical expertise to build a case that actually results in accountability.

Industry Standards

Setting the Bar for Digital Trust

Fragmented standards are a feature of the fraud economy, not a bug. When a crypto exchange, a UPI app and a bank each define "adequate KYC verification" differently, fraudsters arbitrage the gap. When there's no agreed benchmark for how fast a fraud report must be actioned, they stay invisible just long enough.

DSN's Industry Standards pillar convenes SEBI, FIU-IND, the Ministry of Finance and India's leading digital platforms to develop the shared cyber safety frameworks that define what responsible participation in India's digital ecosystem actually looks like not as compliance theater, but as operational ground rules.

Our quarterly State of Digital Trust reports are independent, data-backed, sector-by-sector assessments of where India stands — what's working, what isn't, and what the next benchmark should be. They are designed to be uncomfortable enough to matter. When India's digital platforms operate from a shared baseline of trust and accountability, fraud loses the jurisdictional gaps it currently calls home.
