Introduction
Digital Suraksha Network ("DSN", "we", "us") provides free tools to help people in India identify potential scams and cyber fraud. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and tools, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
When you use the Scam Checker or Safety Check tools, we process the content you submit — messages, URLs, phone numbers, UPI IDs, wallet addresses, or screenshots — solely to generate a risk assessment. If you submit a report through our report form, we collect the details you provide and, optionally, an email address for follow-up. We also collect standard technical information (such as browser type and approximate location) through our analytics provider.
How We Use Information
We use submitted content to run fraud-detection analysis and return a result to you. We use report submissions to improve our threat-detection database and, where relevant, to support fraud-awareness efforts. We do not sell personal information to third parties, and we do not use submitted content for advertising purposes.
Data Sharing
DSN is a volunteer-led initiative founded in partnership with CoinDCX, and works alongside law-enforcement and regulatory bodies as part of its mission. This section will describe, specifically, what data — if any — is shared with founding partners or law-enforcement/regulatory bodies, and under what circumstances. That detail is pending confirmation and will be finalized before this policy leaves draft status.
Cookies & Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate site usage. This does not use invasive tracking cookies and does not sell data to third parties.
Data Retention
We retain submitted content only as long as necessary to provide the service and maintain our fraud-detection database, and we take reasonable steps to limit retention of personally identifiable information.
Your Rights
You may contact us to request information about data associated with a report you submitted, or to request deletion where applicable.
Children's Privacy
Our tools are intended for general public use and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
